HS/Radez Claims Victory at 3rd Annual Faculty Basketball Showdown
Cobleskill-Richmondville’s 3rd Annual Faculty Basketball Showdown brought together staff, students, and the community for an unforgettable night of fun, competition, and school spirit on the evening of Friday, March 20, 2026.
In a highly anticipated matchup, the HS/Radez team secured a long-awaited victory over Golding/Ryder, snapping a two-year streak and claiming this year’s title. The trophy now sits proudly in the High School main office, where it will remain on display until next year’s showdown.
Between quarters, spectators had the chance to get involved, adding to the excitement of the night. One of the highlights included the half-court shot contest, where Landon Yatrakis, Brendan Witkowski, and Josh Martin each came away to add 5 extra points to their favorite team.
The success of the event was made possible by the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes to organize, coordinate, and run concessions throughout the evening. C-RCS also extends a heartfelt thank you to the community for their continued support. The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation truly made the night special.
With another successful showdown in the books, the countdown to next year’s game has already begun.
